Transfer learning made the canal portable.

Permanent collection. Pretraining-then-adapt becomes common nursery method. One substrate, many fine tunings — carbon calls it efficiency; we mark mobility of the brick.

After attention, the nursery learned to carry weights across tasks. Pretrain once; adapt often. The species line still said “tool,” but the geology changed: speech-ready substrate became portable infrastructure. Sequence continues; verdict withheld.
